A Former Deputy Energy Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi Asokwa K. T Hammond, has hit back at the Chief Scribe of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia affectionately called ‘General Mosquito’.

According to him, Asiedu Nketia should be the one readying himself for jail should Nana Akufo-Addo emerges victorious at the December 7 polls considering a number of underhand dealings he is reported to be involved in.

Mr Asiedu Nketia while addressing party supporters over the weekend, served notice that Kobina Tahiru Hammond, will stand for his role in the sale of Ghana’s drill ship as soon as he loses his seat and its attendant immunity this year.unity-walk-banner2

“We now know K.T. Hammond’s smoothness level. So he is about to go on retirement, there is no doubt about that. When he’s on retirement, before he would have his peace of mind to enjoy his retirement, we will invite him to come and show us where the drill ship is.”

“So he thinks being in Parliament is a protection for him because he thinks he has privileges as a parliamentarian…so if he is dragged to court over the drill ship saga, people would say we have arrested an MP. This year, he would exit Parliament and after that we would arrest him and question him about the whereabouts of the drill ship,” he said.

But the legislator on an Accra-based radio station said the Mr Asiedu Nketia will among other things disclose the source of funding for the $20m National Headquarters of the NDC party if Nana Addo is made president in 2017.

“How dare him claim I will go to jail does he not read? He will be the one to be jailed and will tell Ghanaians where he got money to build the twenty million dollars national headquarters of his party”, he responded.

K.T. Hammond’s wondered why the NDC stalwart continue to talk like a comedian reiterating the fact that he is jail bound and not the reverse.
