A sheep was slaughtered Wednesday morning and libation poured by the five sub chiefs to signify an end to their ban from taking part in the activities and meetings of the New Juaben Traditional Council.

The performance of the rite, which was consequent to a peace deal between the Council and the chiefs, also marked an end to all activities by the five sub chiefs, which sought to put the Yiadom Hwedie Stool and its occupant into disrepute.

The five are Nana Yaw Annor Boateng ll (Nseniehene), Nana kwasi Adarkwa ll (Abesimhene), Nana Mpampam Oware (Mpampamhene), Nana Obuogya Asante ll, (Asuminahene) and Nana Baffour Okyere Panin ll (Qwereabahene).“We the aggrieved chiefs today accept the amnesty so granted and effectively denounce all activities overt or covert calculated to put the Yiadom and Hwediem Stool and it’s occupant into disrepute.

“We hereby also disband the aggrieved accolade, and unreservedly and without hesitation but with alacrity, associate our identity with the Yiadom and Hwedie Stool, it’s occupant and the New Juaben Traditional Council. ” Nseniehene Nana Yaw Annor Boateng stated.

They have appealed to Daasebre Oti Boateng to extend his gesture to the other break away sub chiefs to return to ensure the development of Traditional Council.

“We urge  Daasebre to make his reconciliation more visible and comprehensive, we the Chiefs and people of New Juaben want to see immortal but more visible reconciliation between the ornaments and the entire New Juaben Stool houses.

“We also urge Daasebre to ensure with passion and flexibility, that all vacant black stools within his jurisdiction are filled within the shortest possible time. The installation, mobilization and harnessing of all these chiefs to his royal chariot is the only way to make his uniqueness more unique,” he added.

Nana Annor Boateng pointed out New Juaben has plethora of problems, including low levels of academic opportunities and laurels for the youth, unsustainable levels of funeral costs, defilement of our customs, traditions and taboos and lack of interest their history.

They pledged their unflinching support for the paramount chief  Daasebre Oti Boateng and commended the newly installed nkabomhene Nana Addo Agyekum ,for the reconciliation process.

The new Juaben Krontihene, Baafour Nyantakyi Tutu Boateng, who stood in for the paramount chief for the peace accord, welcomed the returnee chiefs to the Council and assured them of peaceful coexistence to ensure more development for the area.
