Adjei – Sowah is the new Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Assembly.
The members of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) have overwhelmingly endorsed Mohammed Adjei Sowah as the new Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Assembly.
Mr Sowah, President Akufo-Addo’s nominee for the role was confirmed after garnering 100% support from all the 109 assembly members present in the elections held on Thursday in Accra.
The former Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) replaces Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, who is now the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South.
He was immediately sworn into office by the presiding member to begin his four-year term of office.
