A member of the NDC, Kakra Essamuah has described as insensitive, a call on government to make public the autopsy report of late President John Evans Atta Mills.

According to him, such calls being championed by the flagbearer of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom is borne out of malice. Mr. Essamuah was reacting to a challenge thrown to government by the PPP leader to produce the autopsy report of the late Atta Mills to prove their innocence.

Dr. Nduom at a rally in Cape Coast in the Central region said some NDC officials put on a public show of sorrow with Prof Mills’ demise but privately rejoiced over his passing and said it had paved the way for their electoral triumph in 2012.

This has generated some tension between the two political parties especially in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem (KEEA) constituency, which is a traditional NDC seat, but was in 2004 occupied by Dr. Nduom, and now held by the opposition New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Nana Ato Arthur.

But Kakra Essamuah on Asempa FM Thursday, said the conduct of the PPP leader is “diversionist stupidly”.

He explained that, Dr. Nduom who is seeking political power wants to capitalise on Prof Atta Mills’ death to win sympathy votes.“Is Kwesi Nduom saying he loves President Mills more than we in the NDC who worked and campaigned vigorously for him? He should give us a break” he fumed.

The NDC man maintained that being a president does not deprive you of privacy thus the late Atta Mills’ autopsy report cannot be made public. “I admire Dr. Nduom a lot because he has distinguished himself as a business man so he should quit the diversionist stupidity and concentrate on his campaign”.

Kakra Essamuah said the NDC will give Dr. Nduom an appropriate response if he fails to cease and desist from such calls.
