Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Party (NDP) in the Offinso constituency in the Ashanti region, Isaac Mensah Afedzi has been pronounced dead after an accident involving the convoy of the National Democratic Party (NDP) Presidential Candidate Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings on the Techiman-Kumasi highway in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Isaac Mensah Afedzi died instantly when the vehicle he was on board heading from Techiman to Kumasi collided head-on with an approaching vehicle.
Eight other persons sustained various degrees of injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the Holy Family Hospital in Techiman.
Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings who escaped unhurt has proceeded on her campaign tour to the Western region.
