According to him, this will have a damning effect on him[Akufo-Addo] and his party vis a vis the upcoming polls.

“Ghanaians should be smart and know who they are dealing with. Nana Addo is a bad leader and shouldn’t be allowed to govern our dear country. He said he believes in Ghana, why then should he opt out of such important debate, organised by two relevant state institutions[GBC, NCCE], Adams told host Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM.

For him, it was a fine opportunity for his candidate, Incumbent John Dramani Mahama to get an endorsement on yesterday’s platform in relation to his good governance and the myriads of development projects delivered to Ghanaians in the past four years.

The opposition NPP explained it was pre-occupied with equally important things hence its decision not to participate in the National Commission for Civic Education and GBC debate.

Out of the seven presidential candidates contesting in next week’s polls, five of them participated in Wednesday’s debate.

They include candidates of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), President John Mahama and Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom.

The rest are an Independent Candidate, Joseph Osei Yeboah, People’s National Convention (PNC)’s Edward Mahama and Convention People’s Party (CPP)’s Ivor Kobina Greenstreet.

The biggest opposition party, New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and National Democratic Party (NDP)’s Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings were missing in action.
