This is the second time an outgoing Ghanaian President is embarking on such a gesture, after former President Kufuor ushered in the late Professor John Mills in 2009, when he won power. This is also part of a familiarization tour of all executive properties before Nana Addo takes over on January 7.

Together with some NPP officials including; Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo and Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, Nana Addo toured the seat of government as part of the transition process.

Some notable stakeholders of government including Madam Hannah Tetteh, Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah and other officials who work closely with President Mahama, were spotted at the tour.

The Flagstaff House is indeed getting ready to receive President-elect Nana addo who will be sworn in on January 7, 2017. There have been speculations that the incoming government would change the name of the Flagstaff House to Jubilee House, a name that was previously given to the edifice under the Kufour administration.

Such speculations are as a result of the fact that Nana Akufo-Addo has never called the presidential palace by its current name. He has persistently referred to it as Jubilee House -which was changed when the NDC came into office. However, it is still unclear whether the name of the presidential palace will change after January 7, when Nana Addo takes over the reigns of government.
