Former Director of the Ghana School Feeding Programme, Dr. Amoako Tuffuor has revealed that the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, never supported the candidature of Bernard Antwi Boasiako as Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party.
He disclosed that Nana Addo was rather in support of Osei Prempeh because he was skeptical about the ability of the current chairman affectionately called Wontumi to execute his mandate as chairman.
“Nana Addo was supporting Osei Prempeh and I was supporting Wontumi because I knew what the latter could do. While he was outside the country, he called me and tried to find out why I will be supporting my preferred candidate”, he said.
On Abusua Nkomo hosted by Kwame Adinkra, he described the NPP flagbearer as a tolerant person who will not begrudge you in event you support a different against his preferred candidate.
To this end, he observed that those who claim he is vindictive do not really know him as he is not in the habit of keeping records of wrongs and said he will be one of the best president’s the country has ever witnessed.
“Nana Addo is humble, easily approachable and listens to concerns of others. I don’t get it when people claim he is this or that. He will disagree with you on a matter but he will never take it to heart”, he stated.
