MTV Base Africa has given Ghanaians a very interesting topic for discussion which is sure to last for the better part of the new year.

The iconic music channel in a recent tweet, tagged Sarkodie richest celebrity in Ghana, as well as the fastest and most awarded rapper in Africa -declarations which have stirred some arguments on social media. The tweet reads;
#Africa’s fastest & most awarded Rapper is @sarkodie (also richest celebrity in Ghana).
As you can rightly guess, some have applauded the tweet while some have disagreed with it.
While loyal fans of Michael Owusu Addo alias Sarkodie, have applauded the tweet, a section of Ghanaians who are obviously not fans of the artiste; have raised several pertinent questions regarding the pronouncement of the rapper as the richest celeb in the country.
Despite the lauded achievements of the ace rapper by some media sources, social media has been abuzz with arguments on; how such conclusions are reached, whether Sarkodie disclosed his bank savings to MTV Base Africa and many more.
Regardless of such questions, the Sark Nation boss has continued to hold a prestigious profile in the eyes of Ghanaians, as well as in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. Sarkodie has won many awards and hosted a lot of successful shows. The rap gad has been the most mentioned name when it comes to who the best rapper is in Ghana. Sark can also boast of dozens of endorsement deals among his numerous achievements.
However despite the aforementioned facts, there is still the argument on whether the Sark Nation boss is indeed the richest celebrity in Ghana.
