According to him, MPs are legislators whose works range from law making to serving as a watchdog for the Executive arm of government and that duplicating their roles make them ineffective.

He proposed to replace them with competent and professional civil servants who will assist his not less than forty ministers of state.

Dr. Nduom who was interacting with Ghanaians live on social media website, Facebook, for the third time, said that duplicity of roles for MPs makes their work stressful and does not offer them room to concentrate on any of their roles for effective work for their constituents and the people of Ghana.

The session took place on Thursday at 4 P. M and allowed for questions from participants in real time which questions were responded to in real time.

The topic for discussion was a “PPP Administration – Small, Lean & Powerful; Inclusive, not more than 40 ministers, with the right men and women.”

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nduom indicated that a 2017 PPP government would be all-inclusive devoid of partisan, ethnic and religious considerations.

He added that his administration will not have more than 40 ministers, no regional ministers and a Local Government Ministry and that 1992 constitution will be amended to have these and more reflected in it.

He explained that the private sector would not thrive if the public sector is not strong hence he will empower the public sector to work effectively and efficiently to replace the politicians in the system.

The business mogul further added that not only will this move strengthen the nation’s growth; it will ensure continuity and impartial investigations and prosecution of deviant politicians and public servants.

Again, he tied in the importance of the national identification system to a strong public service saying a centralised system will ensure discipline – bring loan defaulters, criminals, etc. to book as they can be easily identified with a unique social security number.

He added that a database, when acquired, will feed all state service providers with metadata as well ensure continuous voter registration to eliminate the present long queues and multiple registrations.

Dr. Nduom speaking on the election of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) said that power and autonomy would be given to grassroots for local development hence elections will be conducted at this level instead of the presidential appointments.

Dr. Nduom on Sunday discussed his vision for Ghanaian farmers on Facebook and had question and answer session several weeks before.

This makes him the first presidential aspirant to do this in the history of Ghana.

He currently has 273, 617 fans on Facebook.
