Montie 3 Case Is A Grand Agenda To Cause Mayhem In Ghana

Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah has warned the country to tread cautiously when commenting on the Montie 3 petition as its outcome has the potential of causing mayhem in the country.

According to the man of God, the case and its outcomes is a trap set for the country which outcome would likely be confusion leading to a bloodbath.

He said this was revealed to him at the 31st December, 2015 All Night service which he held at his church.

“When God revealed to me, I saw that some group of persons had made a statement on a radio station which would lead to chaos, confusion and later destruction and bloodbath.

“The statement by the Montie 3 and their subsequent release is a planned agenda to cause commotion and confusion but we ought to be careful in our approach to it…I am a prophet of God and would only urge that we comment in such a way that it wouldn’t lead to a Rwanda situation in Ghana,” he said.

President Mahama in consultation with the Council of State and in exercise of his constitutional powers under Article 72 of the Constitution remitted the remaining prison sentence imposed on three persons: Salifu Maase (alias Mugabe), Alistair Nelson and Ako Gunn who were sentenced to four months imprisonment and a fine of GH?10,000.00 each for contempt of court.

The remission is effective 26th August 2016

The three were sentenced on 27th July 2016 and have served less than a month of the four month prison sentences imposed on them. They have also paid the GH?10,000.00 (ten thousand Cedis) fines.

The decision has led to silent protests in various sections of the society with others condemning the decision on radio and other social media platforms.

The silent protests and counter-celebrations, Prophet Owusu-Bempah said is what could lead to the confusion and subsequent bloodbath.

“If Ghana does not take care, this statement and decision to free the Montie 3 could lead to chaos, confusion and bloodbath in the country,” he said.

He added that it would be suicidal for Ghanaians to ignore the ‘small tension’ that is building up in the country following the announcement of the pardon.

“The tension is seen as something small but if we don’t take care, it would lead to something big… I am appealing to Ghanaians to speak on it in calmness and with caution so it doesn’t lead to confusion between political parties and tribes etc…,” he counseled.
