According to him, the buck, when it came to Ministerial appointments, stopped with the President-elect and he would not be coerced into making any premature appointments or announcements.

Mr Manu said this when he addressed the press at after a meeting of the NPP National Executive Committee (NEC) in Accra on Thursday.

No Ministerial list out

The President-elect, Nana Akufo and the Vice-President-elect, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia were at the meeting.

Prior to the meeting, there were speculations that Nana Addo was going to provide a list of persons for Ministerial appointments to the NEC but Mr Manu said nothing like that happened.

He said Nana Akufo-Addo had maintained that he would undertake exhaustive consultation with a number of stakeholders before making any appointments.

The Minority Leader of Parliament, Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said the meeting was geared at sensitising the leadership of the party on steps to take as the party prepared to take over the administration of the country on December 7, 2017.

He also said there was a review of the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections which was done by Mr Mac Manu.

Appreciation of support

Mr Yaw Osafo Marfo also gave a situational report on the work of the Transition Team where he said there had been some hiccups but was hopeful that they could be ironed out.

A member of the NPP campaign team, Professor Mike Ocquaye said Nana Akufo-Addo also paid glowing tribute to the NEC of the party for the crucial role and support they provided for the success of the elections.

The Youth Organiser of the NPP, Mr Sammy Awuku said the leadership of the party was primed to provide the needed services that would place the country on the path of progress and prosperity.

Already, he said Ghanaians had been buoyed by the electoral victory of the NPP and were experiencing a change in their business sales even when the government had not taken office yet.
