An unidentified man believed to be in his late 50s has burnt death at New Edubiase in the Ashanti region on Monday afternoon.
Wofa Yaw Surprise a local journalist in the area, told ultimatefmonline.com that the deceased was involved in an accident after his Toyota Rav4 vehicle with registration number AS 1200-09 skid off the road and run into a ditch on the New Edubiase-Bekwai highway.
“The vehicle after the incident caught fire and burnt the trapped man said to be a worker with Ghana Water Company beyond recognition”, he revealed.
According to him, fire service personnel managed to put out the fire and conveyed the body to the New Edubiase Government Hospital for preservation.
New Edubiase police confirmed the incident to ultimatefmonline.com and revealed that they have commenced investigations into the matter.
