Former minister for youth and sports, Mallam Issah Ali Yusuf is appealing to Former President Jerry John Rawlings to resume the role of being an active leader of the NDC.
In diagnosing the embarrassing defeat of the NDC at the 2016 December poll, Mallam Issah noted that the inactivity of the founder and Former President in the party’s campaign contributed to the abysmal performance of the party.
“We need you back Rawlings, Please don’t desert us” he appealed
Mallam Issah observed that former president is the most influential figure in the party.
“Condemn those babies with sharp teeth when they speak ill of the party’s founder” He chided NDC executives.
He also called on the party executives to devise ways of reconciling the Former President to the party.
