According to John Kumah, a president who has “a gold medal in taking bribes” is not fit to lead an anti-corruption nation like Ghana.

Members of Parliament have been recalled to consider a motion seeking to impeach President Mahama for accepting the car which many describe as bribe from Djibril Kanazoe.

This was after an exposé by Joy News’ Manasseh Awuni Azure revealed that, Djibril Kanazoe who describes the President as a friend is the contractor behind the controversial $650,000 Ghana Embassy wall in Burkina Faso which was flagged by Parliament’s Public Account Committee (PAC).

He is also the only African awarded part of the high budget road project in Ghana, the Eastern Corridor Road Project.

There were reports that he was being considered for the GHC82 million road project at Hamile but pulled out following the expose´.

Though President Mahama said he has given the vehicle to the state, more than 100 of Minority NPP MP’s are signatory to the impeachment petition which necessitated a recall of the House.

In support, John Kumah on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday, said the decision by the legislators is a step in the right direction.

He indicated that, President Mahama is gaining notoriety in bribes taking – making his government the most corrupt administration in Ghana’s history.

The NPP youth activist cited how the President ‘fumbled and embarrassed’ the whole nation when he failed to give a straight answer when he was asked by a BBC reporter whether he has taken bribe before to buttress his point.

John Kumah believes the only way Ghanaians can end the unbridled corruption in government is by voting for an incorruptible leader like Nana Akufo-Addo in the December polls.
