Three years gone; and there have been no leads nor update from the Ghana police Service, regarding the death of entertainer Fennec Okyere, who was the manager of controversial rapper Emmanuel Botchwey aka Kwaw Kese . Late Fennec was murdered at his Manet Gardens residence on the Spintex Road three years ago.

After failed attempts to trace his killers, Kwaw Kese has expressed great disappointment on the inability of the Police to apprehend the killers of the late entertainer. The rapper has lambasted the police, as well as security stakeholders for their unseriousness towards the case, which he explains is the main reason behind their inability to unravel the perpetrators of Fennec’s murder.

Fennec Okyere, who was the manager of music star Kwaw Kesse at the time of his death in 2014, was gruesomely murdered at his residence by unknown assailants and so far, nobody has been charged for his murder. The enthusiastic entertainer was murdered at the age of 31, at his Manet Cottage at Spintex, Accra residence on Thursday, March 13, 2014.

Fennec was laid to rest after a funeral service at the forecourt of the Trade Fair Centre, LA-Accra on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Following his death, police had picked up some individuals in connection with the murder. One of them was Nana Asiama Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog; who had been interrogated by the police, but was later released. The police had assured they were in control of the situation, as the homicide unit was working tirelessly to get to the root of the matter.

However, its been three years now and there have been no prosecution by  court; a situation which has caused kwaw kese to lambaste the Ghana police service. As a result of an ongoing reshuffle of personnel at the Ghana Police Service, the PR Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Police, has not been able to comment on questions regarding the death of Kwaw Kese’s late manager.

Controversial rapper, Kwaw Kese has demanded answers from the police regarding the death of his manager, Fennec Okyere. Speaking to Showbiz last week on the matter, he said the failure of the police to unravel the killers, would only mean that they (the police) cannot be relied on, for security.

It can also be recalled that in 2015, Kwaw Kese had proposed that investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas took up the matter. This was also as a result of the sluggish attitude of the police towards Fennec’s murder.

Zoomlion, employer of Fennec was not left out in Kwaw Kese’s rage. The “My Thing” singer bemoaned the lackadaisical attitude of the company towards the murder case. According to him, the fact that the company hasn’t shown much interest in the death of one of its hardworking staff, is highly questionable and worrying.

From the laments of the controversial rapper, one can tell he is still very much bitter about the death of his former manager and friend. Kwaw Kese who appointed a new manager six months after Fennec’s death, insists there is still a big vacuum which can only be filled by his late manager.

The Mr lover lover singer who described his late manager as his backbone, said that Fennec’s absence has affected his career and has slowed him down. It was something more than an a coporate working relationship; Kwaw Kese and late Fennec who managed the Mad Time entertainment outfit, were known to be very close friends who did a lot for each other.
