As the political and prophesy times in Ghana are yet to die down, more prophecies are coming as regards the political future of the country. The latest is from Gospel musician Cweci Oteng, who stated that John Dumelo will Become President of Ghana someday.
The Gospel act made the prediction in a short tweet on January 2nd, 2017, and he called on the country not to forget what he has said. This, however, is not clear whether he is saying it as a prophecy or as just a wish.
The statement which has generated a lot of talks have got a few Ghanaians wasting no time to quickly react to the post directly. Below are some reactions:
It is however not all rejection for the actor, as he still has a supporter.
Most recently, the versatile actor has been involved in politics as a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He was known to be a strong supporter of the outgoing president, Mr John Mahama. Even after losing the election by his candidate, Dumelo chipped in his voice in advice to the incoming president as he advised him not to let Ghana down.
It is unclear why Cweci Oteng made the prediction, as while he is in the NPP, and he campaigned for the incoming president, Nana Addo, Dumelo is a supporter of the NDC, and he supported the present president.
John Dumelo’s involvement in the December elections was strong enough that he was tipped by many for a ministerial slot if the outgoing president won. He stated that he had lost many deals because of his endorsement of Mahama.
While many thought Dumelo was done with politics as he returned to acting after the elections, we cross our fingers to see if this prediction will get him back to politics.
