The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly called ‘Chairman Wontumi’ has launched a scathing attack on celebrated actor John Dumelo describing him as ‘lazy, greedy and an opportunist’.
The actor who campaigned for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the 2016 general elections has been in the news for the past weeks for attempting to spray a vehicle purported to be a State-owned.
Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo with sit-in host Austine Woode, Chairman Wontumi claimed John Dumelo is only good at preying on other people to enrich himself.
‘There are majority of lazy and greedy people in the world like John Dumelo who have refused to work to make earns meet, he is simply lazy and greedy, he doesn’t wants to work to receive the blessing of the Lord,’ he blasted.
He alleged that the actor during the electioneering was rejected by the then presidential candidate of NPP Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo when he approached him (Nana Addo) to give him money to mobilise the youth to vote for him.
‘But Mahama gave him tax payers’ monies when he approached him with the same agenda,’ he claimed.
Chairman Wontumi called on the police to prosecute the actor for ‘stealing’ State vehicle.
