The Flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), says it does not take a genius to know that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has won the 2016 elections.
Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom believes Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has won the elections and it is only prudent that governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) should concede defeat.
Speaking in an interview with Kojo Yankson on the JOY NEWS channel on MultiTV Friday, he said the PPP came to the realisation that the NPP has won the election after collating results from its agents across the country.
Dr Nduom noted that, based on the results, “we noticed a certain wind of change even at places where the NPP has never won before.”
“It seems clear that Nana Akufo-Addo was heading towards the direction of change” and therefore we had to congratulate the NPP flagbearer on Thursday, he noted.
“It doesn’t take a genius to know what is happening,” the business mogul observed wondering what makes it difficult for people to see the obvious.
“Reality is reality, we must accept and move on. We must close that chapter…let everybody accept the results,” the two-time flagbearer of the PPP advised.
“Let’s get on with our lives… The election is over,” he said.
Dr Nduom quizzed, “An election was held on Wednesday and here we are on Friday evening and someone is saying we must wait and check… we must check what?”
