The company, which has already partnered the Ministry of Finance to provide backup energy devices, aims at expanding its operations across the country.

Speaking to Citi Business News after a sensitization workshop for some stakeholders in the power sector, the Sales Director of COMSEC, Boaz Alon stated that the company has already sent some Ghanaian engineers to Israel to learn modern ways of building backup power plants.

“We employ local Ghanaians to do all the repairs. We send and we are still sending our employees to Israel and to China for training so all the repairs and all the fixing of all the technical problems of the UPS, invertors, batteries, and solar plants are all done locally by Ghanaians,” he said.

He maintained that the move is further targeted at equipping Ghanaians with the required knowledge to excel in the industry while it also provides job opportunities.

Mr. Alon recounted that there is a gap in power backup for Ghana’s energy sector, making power crisis severe anytime the national grid goes off.

He stated that the energy sector will receive a major boost that will help the economy once there is a reliable backup power system for the country.

“We found the gap in Ghana in the backup power system there is no company today that provides a one stop shop for the energy backup solution from A to Z. The support is very poor today in the market. So we decided to focus on this industry on the energy backup power solution”, he observed.

Outlining some benefits of backup power t the economy, Mr. Alon stated that the private sector would still be in production in times of emergency.

He pointed out that this would guarantee productive at full level, hence employment.

“COMSEC Technology Solutions is proud of its contribution to the economic and technological development of Ghana through its quality solutions in the areas of Energy, Communications and Security Systems,” he said.

He announced that the company has opened its ultra modern office in Adabraka.
