The Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has stated that insults and mischievous Press conferences by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) against  President Mahama won’t win them the 2016 elections.

“Whiles we are in the trenches explaining our manifesto to the good people of Ghana, the NPP are in Accra holding Press conferences and attacking our Presidential Candidate, but let me tell them that lies and insults don’t win elections,” the Chief of Staff said

Mr. Julius Debrah was addressing supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the campaign launch of Akatsi South Parliamentary candidate Bernard Ahiafor over the weekend.

The Chief of Staff went to Akatsi in the Volta region after a six day campaign tour of the Upper West region.

He illustrated that if you want to farm, you prepare the land, plant the seed, water eat and clear weeds to guarantee a bumper harvest.

“Some people they want to farm and Harvest plenty but instead of going to the farm to prepare  the land and others, they are sitted in Accra shouting we want to farm, we want a bountiful harvest and organising press conferences 7 times a day describing the farm they want to farm. When you do that, are the crops going to grow?” There was a spontaneous “No” from the huge crowd.

He questioned the mammoth crowd again “when you do that are you going to harvest anything at the end? The crowd said No.

He indicated that they probably might not get good yields, and that might push them to go to court, trying to look for something they didn’t work for.

He reiterated that if the NPP really want power, they should go to the people and explain their policies to them.

He stated that “they should continue organising Press Conferences and insult , while we take the field.”

He indicated that he drove on the newly asphalted by-pass in the area which attested to the fact that at least the Chiefs and people of the area have got their fair share of the national cake.

“If you sit in Accra and you insult the President to the people of Akatsi; they have eyes , they can see the development,” Julius Debrah said.

He re affirmed the NDC’s winning possibilities in Akatsi.

The Akatsi South constituency has the Speaker of Parliament Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho as its former Member of Parliament.

The Chief of Staff said Ghanaians everywhere have commended the President for fair distribution of the National cake, and assured him of their votes on Dec 7.

He assured the Chiefs of taken their request to President Mahama upon his return from France.

The Akatsi South campaign launch brought together Ambassador Dan Abodakpi, Health Min, Alex Segbefia, former transport minister Hon. Dzifa Attivor,  NDC Dep General Secretary Koku Anyidoho amongst others.
