Chris Bonney also known as Atongo is currently in the custody of the Awutu Breku Police after being remanded by the Ofaakor Circuit court.

Atongo was arrested after parents of the 14-year old girl, who was one his numerous victims reported him to the police.

The pregnant minor found herself in the custody of Atongo after his 16-year old boyfriend, Meshach Abbbam who he has dated for the past three years dragged her to the residence of the fetish priest to help abort a pregnancy.

Atongo who occupies a rented room with his girlfriend admitted the girl and began administering to her concoctions as part of his usual routine for aborting pregnancies.

“He had a bottle in his room into which he pours an alcoholic liquid, he then put into it some small tablets and shook it very well and gave it to me to drink…,” the pregnant minor narrated.

After administering the concoction to his victim, Atongo then ordered her to lie in a supine position, inserted tablets into her private parts and stroke her with his ‘bodua’ after reciting incantations.

“After giving me the concoction, he covered my lips with his bed sheet and anointed my head with some of the same liquid…,” she narrated further.

However, Atongo confessed to the Awutu Breku Police that it was rather tea leaf and sugar that he missed and gave to the minor to drink to abort the unwanted pregnancy.

“We [he and the lady’s sibling] decided to do something for her to believe that we are helping her abort the pregnancy…I gave her tea leaf and sugar [to abort the pregnancy],” he told the Awutu Breku Police.

Following his confessions, Atongo and the 16-year old boyfriend of the pregnant minor, were arraigned before the Ofaakor Circuit Court where they were remanded into police custody to reappear on 27th October, 2016.

They were charged with conspiracy to illegally abort a pregnancy, threats and forcibly having carnal knowledge of the lady.

The self-styled fetish priest and herbalist, the pregnant minor said also claimed to have the power to make one stronger and also could make love charms for people.
