The support for the NPP flagbearer the group said came after a careful consideration of the promises from the various parties and also importantly how the flag bearers have conducted themselves in this campaign period in the race to annex the Flagstaff House.

Speaking at a colourful event held on Saturday in Accra to announce the group’s decision, Spokesperson for the group Kweku Quarshie explained that the climax of its campaign, it has become necessary to identify the leader who stands true to what the HOPE campaign believes in.

“In our selection of this candidate, we have been careful to ensure that this leader really embodies the objective that this campaign has been all about. Fortunately, The HOPE campaign has identified that leader who offers the hope we need at this seriously challenging time in our country’s destiny.

“We of the HOPE campaign declare that we endorse Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the 2016 presidential elections. In this ongoing political campaign, Nana Addo has addressed real issues on his campaign platforms. Issues that are central to the feelings of most Ghanaians,” he added.

Explaining the rationale behind the campaign, Kweku Quarshie said the key pillars of the campaign have been the four letters of the word: H. O.P.E. which represents Honesty, Opportunity, Prosperity and Education.

Prior to endorsing Nana Addo, Mr. Quarshie said in the last few months since the campaign was launched, it has advised and educated voters to consider serious issues of livelihood before they vote for a leader.

The campaign’s spokesperson concluded that indeed, the NPP flagbearer to their best of knowledge is the only candidate who has established his commitment to giving Ghanaians HOPE for the future.

“Therefore, on December 7, we the members of HOPE and many other people who are encouraged by what HOPE stands for, will meet with Nana Addo at the point of our common destiny in the ballot box and we will choose him,” he added.

The HOPE CAMPAIGN ENDORSEMENT OF NANA AKUFO-ADDO

The HOPE campaign advocates issue based politics and campaigning by prospective office seekers of our country Ghana. Our campaign is all about choosing good, visionary, bold, honest and incorruptible leadership. It’s about choosing leaders who understand the interconnecting factors that makes a nation prosper. It’s about choosing leaders who know how to surround themselves with efficient and competent people.

The key pillars of our campaign have been the four letters of the word: H.O.P.E. Honesty, Opportunity, Prosperity and Education.

In the last few months since our campaign was launched, we have advised and educated voters to consider serious issues of livelihood before they vote for a leader. At the climax of our campaign, it has become necessary to identify the leader who stands true to what the HOPE campaign believes in.

We acknowledge that we have effectively impacted several prospective voters, especially the youth to think deeply about the choices they will make this election.

Thus, in our selection of this candidate, we have been careful to ensure that this leader really embodies the xxx that this campaign has been all about. Fortunately, The HOPE campaign has identified that leader who offers the hope we need at this seriously challenging time in our country’s destiny. We of the HOPE campaign declare that we endorse Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the 2016 presidential elections. In this ongoing political campaign, Nana Addo has addressed real issues on his campaign platforms. Issues that are central to the feelings of most Ghanaians.

HONESTY:

He has proven that he is an honest and peaceful man and this is even evident in his acceptance of the Supreme Court verdict on the election petition in 2013. He promised to accept the verdict of the Supreme Court, and he was HONEST to accept as promised. We see Nana Addo as the kind of man who is concerned deeply about making the right decisions for today and for future generations He has been in public scrutiny for most part of his life and he has proven that he is honest and incorruptible. A trait we badly need as a nation if we have to move forward.

OPPORTUNITY:

When it comes to leadership, we believe that people must prepare themselves for the expected results of leadership so that the future of citizens are not experimented with. Nana Addo has proven even from the choice of team members including the choice of a formidable running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, that indeed, he is ready to put Ghana to work.

PROSPERITY

Indeed, we need a leader with big plans. A leader who inspires us and dares us to dream big. We see his plans for our country as visionary, bold and workable. Plans like the 1 District 1 Factory will offer Opportunity to our teeming youth who are unemployed. Some countries landed on the moon and made aeroplanes over half a century ago. In the 21st century, it cannot be difficult or impossible for Ghana to spread factories on the ground. From our interactions around the country, Ghanaians are not even asking to be taken to the moon, they are just asking for jobs on the ground. Indeed, Nana’s plans offer hope for Ghana’s Prosperity.

EDUCATION

Nana Addo’s commitment to Education has so far been without competition. In the last election, he established a deep commitment to provide FREE SHS.

In this up coming election, he has reaffirmed that commitment among others like restoring teacher trainee allowances, ensuring teachers are paid on time and increase the amount of loans under the student loan scheme.

Indeed, Nana Addo is the ONLY CANDIDATE who has established his commitment to giving us Ghanaians, HOPE for the future. Therefore, on 7 December, we the members of HOPE and many other people who are encouraged by what HOPE stands for, will meet with Nana Addo at the point of our common destiny in the ballot box and we will choose him.

The HOPE CAMPAIGN has chosen, and WILL VOTE FOR Nana Akufo-Addo. We encourage you all present, to also Vote for Nana Akufo-Addo. Let our vote give Ghana HOPE again.
