The Akos Supports Learning project is aimed at distributing educational materials to deprived basic schools in chosen locations.

The beauty queen was welcomed to the school at about 10:00am by management of the school and an entourage consisting of pupils.

Speaking exclusively to 3news.com, Akos said she intends to embark on more of such projects to support deprived children who are in need of basic necessities to enhance their education.

“I believe the saying that ‘Education is the key to success’ but a deprived child without the basic necessities to enhance education can be a key to failure,” she said.

“These children are the future of Ghana and without proper education, they cannot continue what we have started so I believe it’s very important to pay proper attention to them”.

In view of the above, students of Omega Schools-Oblogo benefited from 1,000 copies of exercise books, 150 story books, packs of pens, pencils, erasers etc.

She also congratulated the school’s management and teachers for their hardworking and commitment to these little ones and urged pupils to take their studies seriously.

She also awarded some exceptionally good students in the first academic year to inspire the rest to learn hard.

Teachers and management were not left out as they were also given her 2017 branded calendar.

The event was graced by the founder and C. E.O of TAT Publishing, Theresa Aniagyei-Bonsu, who collaborated with Akos to execute this project.

She urged other institutions and stakeholders of education to emulate TAT and support Akos in this great initiative.

The event was sponsored by TAT Publishing, Heaven Insecticide Spray, Ena pa mackerel, Sasso insecticide spray, Marcus Fm and OneSyd Multimedia.
