Ghana’s Roads and Highways Minister, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has been adjudged the best performing minister for the year 2014 by the West Africa Regional Magazine.
The magazine which adjudged the minister based on its investigations indicated that the minister’s leadership style in both lands and natural resource and the roads sector was outstanding among his peers within the West African sub-region.
Under the year in review, the magazine looked at how well Alhaji Inusah tackled illegal mining, popularly called Galamsey, and some of the policies put in place by the roads ministry to foster development.
The magazine honored Alhaji Inusah Fuseini during its 2nd edition of Business and Leadership Awards held at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) International Conference Center in Pretoria South Africa.
The criteria, according to the Magazine’s publisher, Ms Rossette Aliu, considered focus and competence of ministers delivering in their respective ministries in the sub-region.
Speaking to journalists at a brief ceremony to present copies of the magazine and a certificate of appreciation to the roads Minister in Tamale, Ms Rossette Aliu revealed that the magazine through its investigations in the Tamale Central constituency where Alhaji Inusah Fuseini is the Member of Parliament (MP) also found out the Tamale central MP had invested a lot in educational infrastructure which has led to improvements in the constituency.
The Tamale central MP dedicated the honor to the people in his constituency and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for giving him the opportunity to serve the country.
“I will remain focused in my duties as a minister,” he said.
