According to her, the country’s economic fortunes is heading to the abyss under president John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a “visionary leader” is needed to salvage the debilitating situation.

Such a leader, Mrs. Nduom said, could be found in her husband. Dr. Nduom, who she said over the years has demonstrated that he is “capable” and that she believes “strongly that he can transform Ghana.”

Mrs. Nduom speaking on Morning Starr with Nii Arday Clegg Snr. said: “I want people to open their minds and to listen, and that is not difficult. It is about job creation. It is about ensuring that your citizens’ basic needs are taken care of. It is bringing about jobs and Dr. Nduom has proven that it can be done.”

She continued: “In KEEA alone, there are twenty-two companies right now going on for KEEA and this is just a model. We have a university coming on in January. There will be the first intake. We have our own stadium. There will be a major hospital in there. There are many other factories going on as I speak right now. So, just imagine if Dr. Nduom were the president of Ghana. Each district will be like that. Not one factory, not one mill or one whatever, there will be more than twenty-two different companies in each districts.”

When Nii Arday Clegg Snr. chipped in during the interview that “you sound like you’re on the ticket”, Mrs. Nduom replied that: “I know my husband so well that I can articulate his inner feelings because I have been with him for so long and we do everything together. Wherever he goes I’m there. So, when we got married and they said in the Bible two shall be one; this is us. So, I can actually articulate his thoughts and his feelings. This is what I have to do to support him to play my part as a devoted wife.”
