Prior to the disturbances, residents were going about their regular business under the supervision of a heavy police and military presence.

Chief Inspector, Kwesi Fori, the Commanding Officer of the Police at the scene, told journalists that calm has been restored after several checkpoints were mounted throughout the community.

Two people were arrested Tuesday dawn, April 11, 2017, for possessing locally manufactured guns before the scuffle between residents and the military.
