John Boadu said this during an interaction with the media in Tamale, after a day’s capacity building workshop for all NPP Parliamentary candidates in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions. The NPP Acting General Secretary, implied that the alleged faulty BVDs are meant to negatively affect the turn out for votes for the party at the polls.

Mr. Boadu also said that, the party was well-prepared for the December 7 polls and that the incumbent  National Democratic Congress (NDC) cannot undo their mapped out strategies.

Also speaking to the media, Member of Parliament for Okre, Hon. Dan Kweku Botwe, who is confident of an NPP win; encouraged the Police to impartially deal with hooligans who might attempt to disrupt the upcoming elections.

The NPP have in recent times, accused the EC of making plans to ensure Mahama’s re-election come December. But President Mahama, who strongly upholds the country’s democracy has on several occasions, defended the Commission.

Mahama’s recent rally at Wa East Constituency; saw the President frown extensively at the attacks from the NPP, against EC Chairperson Charlotte Osei, regarding the credibility of the electoral process. Mahama described the rigging allegations as “absurd nonsense” and urged the people not to be made to disregard Ghana’s democracy, which is considered one of the best in the world.
