PPP Communicator, Nana Ofori Owusu has blamed the NPP government for the recent attacks by the “Delta Force”.
Speaking on ‘Kokrokoo’ on Peace FM, Nana Ofori Owusu stressed that the members of the “Delta Force” are just victims of “greedy politicians”.
He explained that the politicians give the youth promises when they are searching for power and use them to come into government.
But when they come into power, they forget about their promises to the youth who helped to make the government and so wondered why they would not be aggressive.
To him, it is the greediness of politicians in the country that fuels the formation of the vigilante groups like “Invincible Forces” and “Delta Force”.
Nana Ofori Owusu subtly resisted lambasting the “Delta Force” though he admits their recent behaviour is reprehensible, but he believes if politicians would honor their promises to them or stop making “unimaginable” promises to them, it would help put the hearts of the ‘aggressive’ party supporters and members to rest.
“They’re victims of greedy politicians . . . don’t they deserve positions because you promise them? You didn’t tell them the truth. So, they’re angry. The actions are unpardonable but look at the promises that the greedy politicians also gave them . . . The youth want jobs. You promised them jobs. Where are the jobs?” he questioned.
