A Brand Ambassadorial role for Ghanaian Rock Band Dark Suburb might be in the works if a recent development is anything to go by.
On Wednesday evening, a photo of a model of Mercedes Benz was posted on the official account of Mercedes Benz Ghana on Instagram with the caption: “one of our favourite groups in Ghana is @darksuburb and we dedicate this Mercedes-AMG model to them.”
The “dedication” comes days after the band launched its debut album The Start Looks Like The End with an amazing concert at the Alliance Francaise.
We have to ask, is there a plan to make the winner of the Unsung category at the Ghana Music Awards brand ambassadors? Or are talks at an advanced stage?
Management of the band declined to speak on the issue except to say “an announcement would be made at the right time.”
A great delight to watch on stage, Dark Suburb has managed to rise above negative labelling and somewhat lack of support at the beginning of their career to become a sought after band in Ghana, Africa and across the world.
Represented in Ghana by Silver Star Auto Limited Ghana, Mercedes Benz vehicles are known for its quality and has the tagline “the best or nothing.”
A partnership between Dark Suburb and Mercedes Benz would definitely be one for the books.
