A Kumasi based Prophet who is purported to have predicted the Sunday afternoon Kintampo Waterfall disaster has revealed to Onua Fm morning show ‘Yen Nsem Pa that there are more grievous calamities looming over the country which he said could be averted by work of National Prayer and fasting.

Prophet Oduro Gyebi who is also affectionately called by his followers as Eagle Prophet said the yet to happen disasters are targeted at the youth and something must be done urgently to prevent “that tragedy”.

Reports of Prophet Gyebi’s prophecy on Kintampo Waterfall disaster hit the mainstream media in the early hours of Monday.

The prophet could be heard in a short video claiming to have got the revelations of the disaster and therefore warning the School authorities to cancelled the trip to the tourist site or be visited with a disaster.

Some students of Wenchi Senior High School are reported to be among people who suffered a fatal accident at the Kintampo Waterfalls today yesterday when they were on excursion to the tourist site.

It was reported that about 18 students have been identified as dead while others have sustained various degrees of injuries. This was as a result of a huge tree that fell uphill the Waterfall, running over the people who were swimming in the waterfall.

But Prophet Oduro Gyebi of God’s Crown Chapel insisted that the Kintampo disaster would have been averted if the School Authorities have heeded his caution ahead of that day.

“I had the revelation 7 clear days before the incident took place, and it was a caution prophecy.

So God had revealed to me then that someone from the school was listening to me and I asked that person to alert the School authorities to cancel the trip, but somebody did not take me seriously, have we all not seen the end result” he lamented to Bright Kwesi Asempa.

But Prophet Oduro Gyebi also added that Ghana is on the verge of suffering more dangerous calamities in the coming days, saying Christians, Religious leaders and government to as matter of urgency do as done in the days of Jonah and Noah, to proclaim national prayers and fasting for God’s intervention.

“Let us pray to stop this demonic disaster, clouds of calamity are hovering over us, there are people who went for all kinds of spiritual powers for political positions, so we must pray”
