According to him, the chiefs were deceived by the New Patriotic Party that President Mahama will not be able to perform better as a President.

Speaking to some party faithful and Nananom of the Ajumako Traditional area, Mr Amissah-Arthur said some chiefs disclosed to him that they have now come to the realization that, indeed John Dramani Mahama is performing well and therefore deserves another term.

“During the 2012 elections, the chiefs voted massively against Mahama because they didn’t know what he was capable of but now that you have come to know him well and what he can do, then I suggest you give him another chance to continue hi good works” he stated.

He therefore appealed to the chiefs and the people of the town to vote massively for the NDC in order to secure another term in office.

The Vice President also dismissed claims that President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress are employing ethnocentric tactics in their campaign, so as to win the December 7, elections.

The NDC as a party, he explained, believes in inclusiveness as the party has never sabotaged or denied any region or group of people of their share of the national cake.

He said the party will always place the unity and peace of the country first in their dealings, including political campaigns as Ghana must not collapse because of one’s desire to win political power.

Meanwhile former NDC national organizer Yaw Boateng Gyan has called on NDC party supporters not to pay attention to those going round giving voter education that they should vote for Nana Konadu Agyeamang Rawlings since she resigned from the NDC.

Yaw Boateng Gyan said they should rather vote massively against her to teach her lesson.
