The Adontenhene of Assin Adiembra in the Central Region, Nana Minta Ebu II has been accused of allegedly defiling a 13-year old primary 5 pupil.
The Benkumhene of the community Nana Effisah Keteko I who disclosed the incident to Adom News’ Alfred Amoh, said the suspect, Nana Minta Ebu II took advantage of his only fufu pounding machine in the community to commit the heinous act.
He said the victim’s mother who is a chop bar operator sent her to get the fufu prepared with the pounding machine owned by the suspect.
“Her mother sent her to go pound the fufu at the man’s place and when the man realised that no one was there he forced the girl into his room and had sex with her” he stated.
He said the chief, who is in his 50s, threatened the girl not to inform her parents and promised to give her GHC 100 after the act.
According to him, when the suspect failed to give the money to her, the victim who is said to have been a virgin then decided to spill the beans to her parents.
The victim (name withheld) narrating her ordeal to Alfred Amoh said several attempts to scream for help during the act proved futile “because the chief covered my mouth very tight to prevent me from shouting” she said.
The chief after interrogation admitted to his crime and has agreed to compensate the girl with GHC1500.
But the youth of the area say elders impregnate girls and the girls accuse them (the youth) of being responsible for the pregnancy.
They are threatening to demonstrate against the chiefs for taking their girls.
The youth have sworn to disrespect all the chiefs if they still uphold that chief as one of them.
The chiefs of the area say he will be destooled very soon.
