The approval of the two ministers was suspended by the committee pending issues that were being probed.

The Committee was not convinced with a response from the former Finance Minister surrounding ethnocentric comments he made at a party function in August, 2015.

Mr. Agyarko also run into controversy with the Committee with the claim that the World Bank put pressure on the ex-president to take a decision on a gasification policy.

But according to Chairman of the appointments committee, Joseph Osei Owusu, all 13 ministers-designate who have appeared before the committee have been cleared and would soon be made public.

“I can assure you that all the first 13 nominees have been cleared and the report will reflect that.”

The nominees who have been cleared include Alan Kyerematen, Minster-designate for Trade and Industry; the Finance minister-designate, Ken Ofori-Atta and the Defence Minister-designate, Dominic Nitiwul.

Others are National Security Minister-designate, Albert Kan-Dapaah; Attorney-General and Justice Minister-designate, Ms Gloria Akuffo and the Minister-designate for the Interior, Ambrose Dery.

The rest are Foreign Affairs Minister-designate, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and the Minister-designate for Local Government & Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama, Minister-designate for Education, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh aka Napo; Minister-designate for Health, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu and Minister-designate for Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto.
