Communication team member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken the vice presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for being a ‘serial liar’.

According to Eric Ametor Quarmyne, the hitherto respected economist in his attempt to paint the Mahama-led government black is ‘gradually turning himself into a clown’.

“I don’t respect Bawumia anymore because he has turned himself into a liar” he stated on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday in response to Dr. Bawumia’s diagnosis of the economy.

Government after an economic lecture by Dr. Bawumia has accused him of ignoring the facts and went for propaganda.

The former deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana said President Mahama has now replaced Ghana’s solid foundation built with concrete under the erstwhile Kufuor administration with straw.

He indicated that, GDP growth was 5.7% under the Kufuor-led NPP between 2000 and 2008 but it was 6.3% under seven years of NDC.

This assertion by Dr. Bawumia, Mr. Ametor Quarmyne said, is borne out of intellectual dishonesty for cheap political points.

He indicated that, the economic performance of the Mahama-led government is incomparable given the massive fete chalked in all sectors of the economy.

The NDC man said the supposed lecture by the NPP economic wizard [Bawumia] is nothing but an entertainment piece to relieve tension.

“All that Dr. Bawumia said is nothing new; it’s just repetitions of the same problems and government has no time for such things” he stated.

Mr. Ametor Quarmyne cautioned the NPP not to come crying to Ghanaians when they lose the December 7 elections with their unnecessary lecturers.
