Eastern Region representative and 2nd runner up of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Season X Akos says her new single ‘Owiao’ is a song aimed at promoting the continuous peace Ghana is enjoying.
Akos was one of the key figures in Season X of Ghana’s Most Beautiful with her splendid live stage performances, which won her a lot of admirers.
Speaking exclusively to 3news.com, the eloquent royal explained that the reason behind the release of ‘Owiao’ahead of the December 7 polls is to advise Ghanaians to desist from violence and ensure peace before, during and after the elections.
“Owiao is an Akan word which simply means ‘stolen by the devil’, a slogan I want Ghanaians to identify with.
“The content of the message of this song is part of the code of conduct of the EC. For example, not to wear party T-shirts to polling stations”.
Akos reminded Ghanaians that peace is a powerful tool that drives development and stressed that is exactly what Ghana needs for a sustainable development.
She also revealed that the title of her song was derived from a message she preached from John 10:10 during her participation in Ghana’s Most Beautiful X.
