National Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) says he is not surprised Former Transport Minister Dzifa Ativor visited presenter of Accra-based Montie FM and two panelists in prison, bearing gifts.
According to John Boadu, the Minister who resigned after controversy over bus branding saga went to the Nsawam prisons to familiarize herself so that if jailed in the near future, she can adjust.
Madam Attivor visited the Montie 3, Salifu Maase popularly known as Mugabe, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gun were sentenced to four months in prison by the Supreme Court on June 27 for threatening to kill judges.
She presented items such as tins of Milk, Milo, canned fish, a gallon of cooking oil, bottles of water and toiletries to the incarcerated triad.
But John Boadu on Adom FM’s “Burning Issues” programme with Afia Pokua sarcastically said the former Trade Minister presented a lot of toilet rolls for her future use.
“The toilet rolls donated by Ativor to the Montie 3 will last more than four months and I believe that they will leave some behind for her” John Boadu scoffed.
John Boadu said officials of the ruling NDC who are afraid of change of government in the upcoming elections are the people who he believes are engaging in misappropriation of public funds and afraid of possible imprisonment.
“Those who are afraid of the change are the officials who have misappropriate public funds and afraid to be punish” he stressed.
