Anas Dares Justice Derry

Ghana’s acclaimed investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has dared the embattled High Court Judge, Justice Paul Derry, to come home and face him at the panel of eminent committee of judges constituted by the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Georgina Theodora Wood, if he (Justice Paul Derry) has nothing under his sleeves, rather than resorting to The International Human Rights Court in Abuja, to seek relieves.

The disgruntled high court judge, is reported to have beseeched the International Human Rights Courts, praying it, to cite the ace Journalist, for invading the privacy and a breech of ethical standards in journalism with regards to his work.

Sharing his exploits with communications students at the Central University, as part of the university’s public lecture series, on the topic “Putting the pieces together: The aftermath of the judiciary exposé”, he said, currently seventy-two law suit stairs him in the face but he is not perturbed about any.

According to him, although he recognises that, his work may be invariance with the ethics of journalism, it behooves him to go above reproach and proof with hard core evidence to support his findings.

He stressed that, time is of the essence for us to redefine what journalism is about, and refrain from the definition imposed on us by the Western World.

Adding that, his style of journalism, hinges on naming, shaming and jailing to save the country from the hands of unscrupulous persons, whose core aim is to rob off the nation from what its deserves.

The celebrated journalist, noted that, in as much as criticisms are welcome with regards to his work, he will continue to affirm the paradigm shift to check nation wreckers.

The amiable journalist whose anonymity has remain his tool, stressed that, the apostles of ethics may have their views, bearing in mind that, The Ghanaian society differs from theirs hence the need for his style of journalism.

Advancing his interaction with the students, he reckoned that, posterity will continue to haunt him, should these nation wreckers go unexposed.

He argued that, judges over the years, have not been questioned so well, taking into account that, they are not sacrosanct. The ace Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, further dropped hint of storming The passport office, to unravel the seeming unending corruption within that sector of our economy.

In a related development, President of the university, Professor Kwesi Yankah, lauded his efforts essentially, to reducing corrupt practices within our socio-economic growth. He again called on all to be circumspect in dealing with each other.
