The Diverse Currencies of Africa: Impact on Economic Growth

No wonder that President Mahama/Arthur Amissah NDC-led government and party that abound in little-minds of the types of Alban Bagbin are making a mess of the political governance of Ghana. Is it astonishing to find them clueless, incompetent, overwhelmingly corrupt and bankrupt of ideas hence steering the ship of Ghana’s governance aground?

He is mocking Nana Akufo Addo’s “One Village One Dam” visionary policy aimed at making Ghana self-sufficient in food production. We need leaders who have vision to uplift the image of Black people, Africans and especially Ghanaians, in making us self-sufficient in some of our daily basic essential needs like the food that we eat.

Here is Nana Addo dreaming big, the realisation of which dream or vision will help Ghanaians shed their deplorable image of human parasites who depend on the contemporary Whites for all their daily needs, thus, being spoon-fed like toddlers. How will the Whites have any respect for us if we continued to be beggars for every basic thing that we need, including the food that we eat?

Have we sat back for a minute to ponder why Ghanaians are dying in their greater numbers in recent years? Is it not all because of the food that we eat without having the technology and knowhow to investigate as to whether they are good for us or not and again, our inability to provide for our basic medical needs? We always look up to the Whiteman for everything that we need to keep the body and soul together like imbeciles.

Here is a man (Nana Akufo Addo) coming up with ideas the successful implementation of which will save us many lives and prevent us from going hungry for days on end hence avoiding or curtailing unnecessary deaths among the Ghanaian populace.

What wrong has he done for having a vision and policy to irrigate the vast near-barren lands of the northern part of Ghana for arable farming to not only provide jobs for the jobless but principally, to encourage them to farm all year round to produce food in greater quantities for local consumption and export?

When it comes to the practical implementation of the dreamed policy and it does occur that four or five villages are within a radius of say, half a mile from each other, and it is established that one dam will be sufficient to serve the irrigational needs of the combined villages, one dam will be built. This is just common sense strategy.

Was I not in Ghana during election 2012 when President Mahama and NDC mobilised some equally visionless NDC actors and actresses to make/run nonstop TV adverts to counter Nana Akufo Addo’s visionary manifesto of free Senior High School (SHS)? They kept telling Ghanaians that it was not feasible.

However, barely had the election been rigged in their favour, when they started saying that they were going to build schools to start implementing free SHS education in Ghana. When challenged on their shameful U-turn, the only most stupid reason they could offer, as little-minds as they are, was, “the policy of free SHS education was not the brainchild of Nana Akufo Addo but it was already enshrined in the 1992 Constitution”

Yes, it was already sitting on the shelves of the 1992 Constitution gathering dust, isn’t it? It took a sensible and visionary person (Nana Akufo Addo), to dive into the Constitution to say it was about time the policy was implemented to benefit the whole country, especially, the children of school-going age.

Every country’s socio-politico-economic success depends on how rich its human resource base is. A nation’s human resource base can be rich if most of the people are educated, knowledgeable and skilful in various disciplines and trades. This quality of the human resource base can be obtained only by people going to school.

From what has just been said, was Nana Addo wrong to have come up with the noble idea and policy of free SHS education which never took the NDC stealers long to copycat and used it as their own?

If Alban Bagbin were wise, he would not have come out as an inhibited person by his mockery or sarcasm of “One Kenkey One Fish” which has backfired on him if he understood very well my explanations in this publication.

Was he not the person who impregnated his wife’s younger sister some time ago, justifying what was a shameful incestuous behaviour in the name of northern tradition and custom of which UK Tesco’s promotional sales will term as “buy one get one free”? What is the sense in the head of such a person?

I support a big mind that has the capacity to dream dreams to formulate policies that have the potential to save Ghanaians from hunger, preventable diseases and immature deaths.

Bagbin, can we meet for intellectual debate on Nana Addo’s “One Village one Dam” vision?

To prepare you for the debate, let me define some words used in this write-up for you.

A DAM is a wall built across a river that stops the river’s flow and collects the water, especially to make a reservoir (= an artificial lake) that provides water for an area. SOPHISM is an argument that seems true but is really false and is used to deceive people

I pray Alban Bagbin stops making a fool of himself. Can he tell me what he has achieved for his Constituency let alone, Ghana, for all the many years he has been in parliament? Did he not purchase government tractors otherwise meant for his region for his personal use for peanut? Such a little-minded crook has the guts to mock visionary persons. Shame on him!
