There is no better future for Ghanaians so long as President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) remain in power, Mr Alan Kyerematen has said.

Mr Kyerematen, is therefore, asking Ghanaians who are desirous of progress and prosperity, to vote massively for the NPP in the December polls.

According to the former Trade and Industry Minister, Ghana’s industrial sector has suffered a major setback which is mirrored in the poor performance of the business sector caused by mismanagement and corruption under the Mahama-led government.

He assured Ghanaians that the NPP remains committed to solving the unemployment problem plaguing the country by liaising with the private sector to address these challenges when the party comes to power.

“It is evident industrialization is the most powerful tool to fix the lag in our economy” hence our industry  development  strategy  will include working  with industries and business operatives  to access long term financing, add value to our product, invest in skill training and  grow resources for startup businesses especially for the youth. To this end, the party plans to set up industrial development fund, information database and reduce taxes where applicable to create a business friendly environment.

Also “we will do well to fix the bedeviling ‘dumsor’ (power outages) which has constrained businesses and tackle the economic crisis arising from poor planning which has accounted for job losses, slowed operations and in some cases crippled industrial activities.”

“We will implement the one district one factory policy to implement industrialization across the country to create massive employment for the youth to curb rural urban migration,” he explained.

He added that though the NPP believe industrialization will translate into a resilient economy to create wealth for all, it will not happen by chance but through policies that favour manufacturing to push the industrialization drive into fruition.
