According to him, everything for the walk is on course except that they are having serious setbacks from the police, which he alleged is under the influence from the presidency.

He indicated that they wrote to the police and outlined some streets they intend using but the police want them to follow their [police] routes and end at Efua Sutherland Children’s Part so three leaders including himself and his two deputies would be escorted to the Flagstaff House to present their petition.

According to him, they have advertised their planned walk enough hence they find the police’s insistence worrying.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Tutu he said, they do not have a concrete letter from the police on whether their routes have been approved adding ‘’we could smell a rat because we believe that President Nana Akufo-Addo is behind what is happening to us right now…In our personal interaction with the police, the Regional Commander told us that he will not allow us to do it.’’

Sidii Abubakar added because they are a law abiding citizens and a party, they will await the approval from the police although the delay he lamented will affect their planned walk.

‘’The way and manner they are delaying us will affect our operations on the ground,’’ he added He said, ‘’we are calling on Nana Addo to take off his hands on our demonstration. Why did he not stop his men from attacking us? Now that we want to demonstrate, he wants to interfere with it.’’

When asked why was blaming the president, he stressed that, there is something fishy being done by government to prevent their planed activity.
