A group calling itself Vigilante Crazy Group has hinted of retaliation if the seizure of cars belonging to party officials and appointees of the Mahama-led administration does not cease.
According to the group, no court of law has established that the cars was procured illegally thus such acts amounts to lawlessness.
This warning comes after five cars belonging to the National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams was taken from his residence by some armed military personnel during the week.
The vehicles, according to Kofi Adams are two (2) Land Cruisers and three (3) Pick Ups belonging to his brother.
After both the military and National Security Minister, Kan Dapaah denied knowledge of the incident, the Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC accepted responsibility for the act.
He said after establishing that the cars in Kofi Adams’ possession were government vehicles, he mobilized the military and some personnel from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to seize the cars.
Abronye DC who now calls himself Citizen Vigilante has vowed to retrieve all ‘stolen’ government vehicle for the state.
But on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, convener of the Vigilante Crazy Group who is also a leading member of the NDC, Alhaji Alhassan Tapsoba is threatening reprisal attacks.
In his view, the NPP man cannot hold everyone to ransom and harass NDC officials when there are stronger men in the men who can match Abronye DC boot-for-boot.
“Abronye DC should dare and go to the house of any NDC official for cars, we will meet them boot-for-boot. Our group is stronger than them” he fumed.
Alhaji Tapsoba said they have alerted all their party members across the 10 regions to be on red alert and protect any official who will be targeted by the NPP thugs.
However, Kwame Baffoe in response challenged the NDC group to dare carry out their plan.
He said if any of his operations are hindered by the supposed Vigilante Crazy NDC group, “I will crush them”.
