Of the number are 939 regular students, 322 UTDBE students, 84 sandwich students.

Abanga Abigail, who is the first student to obtain first class since the diploma programme was introduced in 2004, was adjudged the best student for obtaining first class.

She was presented with GHC500, certificate and a laptop for her excellent performances. Principal of the school, Dr. David Ayaaba Asakiba advised the graduands to be critical thinkers, analytical problem solvers wherever they find themselves and also be reflective and responsible teachers.

He said though government has been supporting the College, it is still bedeviled with number of challenges especially staff accommodation, freeze on employment, land litigation between the college and the Forestry Commission as well as poor road network within the College. Dr. Asakiba described the situation as disheartening, noting it does not augur well for effective and efficient teaching and learning.

He appealed to government to commit and release more funds to the College to speedily complete some ongoing infrastructure projects in the College.

The Regional Minister, Rockson Ayine Bukari said the Akufo-Addo government is making investing into the educational sector and that, the free senior high school programme which will start in September to pave the way for all to have access to second cycle education.

He said government would collaborate with teacher unions to facilitate affordable housing scheme for teachers to better their conditions of work.

The government, he said, is collaborating with Colleges of Education in Ghana to reviewthe curriculum to suit the current trends.

Mr Bukari cautioned teachers to desist from poor attitude of work such as absenteeism, drunkenness and laziness and rather work hard to improve the standards of education in the country.
