Former Ghana striker Matthew Amoah was in action against his former club – NAC Breda in a pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon.
The 35-year-old who played for Ghana at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany lasted the entire duration of the game at the familiar Rat Verlegh Stadium as Breda clinched a 2-0 win.
Amoah achieved cult status at Breda during his prime after scoring 45 league goals in 106 appearances for the club.
Halsteren signed the former Borussia Dortmund forward hoping he could use his experience to propel the side to promotion.
