Mubarak Mohammed, 20 years old, jointly topped the Super League Goal King chart with another player, scoring a total of 21 goals in 18 matches.

His goals helped push his club side, Istanbul Yeditepe Spor Kulubu, from the 3rd position in the Super League to 2nd this season.

Mubarak is targeting the first spot on the league table in the coming season. “Our target is to win the Super League and next season we hope to improve on our performance,” he said in Istanbul, adding that, “we were third last season, now second, so we are taking it step by step”.

His colleague, who plays for Sehitkamil Engellier SK in the Division One League, Hamza Mohammed, 19 years old, scored 34 goals to win the goal king race and the league.

Hamza’s club scored a total of 66 goals in the 12 matches played in the season.

He has promised to do better in the coming season as he takes a break from the league to visit home for holidays.

This further shoots Ghana’s image in Amputee Football in the world, especially in Turkey, the country with the highest number of Amputee Football clubs.

Ghana currently has eleven Amputee Football players in Turkey, mostly in the Super League. Turkey is also home to some other African professionals from Kenya and Nigeria.

Richard Arthur-Opentil (Captain), Francis Antwi Darkwah (Deputy Captain), Richard Ekwam, Collins Gyamfi, Attah Yeboah, Mubarak Mohammed, Kelvin Kofi Asare, Cephas Anum, Joseph Amoh, Fuseini Iddi and Hamza Mohammed are all based in Turkey, adding splendor and life to the Turkish leagues.
