Ghana football legend, Mohammed Ahmed Polo, has slammed current Ghana coach, Avram Grant, after his untimely appearance on British Sports Channel, Sky Sports, while the draw of the 2O17 Africa Cup of Nations was taking place in Gabon.
Popularly known as the ‘dribbling magician’, Polo was in utter disbelief upon seeing the coach on Sky Sports when he was expected to be in Libreville, Gabon, to follow up on necessary arrangements that could aid the Stars in their preparation towards the major tournament next year.
In an interview with sportscrusader.com, the former Hearts coach said: “This is how far we’ve come as a country. I think Grant is here for a certain personal purpose other than that of the nation which is yearning to break this 34-year trophyless jinx; I don’t think the coach shares this vision.”
Regardless, Polo was optimistic about Ghana’s chances at next year’s football fest, and he believes the Black Stars would fight for the nation which they represent.
