Sulley Muntari Can’t Play for Ghana Anymore

Spokesperson of the 2014 Brazil World Cup commission of enquiry Thomas Boakye-Agyeman has spelt doom on Ghana international Sulley Ali Muntari claiming he cannot play for Ghana anymore.
The Al Ittihad player apologised for his actions at the 2014 World Cup on Tuesday, two years after the incident led to dismissal from the Black Stars and a disgrace to the country.
In his apology letter, Muntari said he is now available to play for the national team, two years after refusing to apologise and appear before the Ghana 2014 World Cup commission set up to investigate the disaster.
Muntari was slapped with an indefinite ban from the Black Stars after physically attacking management member Moses Armah during a meeting at the tournament in Brazil.
With his popularity waning following his axing from Italian giants AC Milan and subsequent move to Saudi side Al Ittihad, the midfielder wants to return to the national team.
Despite his apology, Spokesperson of the Commission of Enquiry Thomas Boakye-Agyeman doubts his restoration into the national team.
“Per the commission’s recommendation, it was clearly stated that Sulley Ali Muntari should apologise to Moses Parker, the President and people of Ghana but the white paper came stronger on Sulley and Kelvin Prince Boateng, stating the two players should not be recalled into the Black Stars in order to maintain discipline in the team.”
‘His apology is welcome, but his return to the team now is not possible especially when Sulley did not challenge the government white paper in court by appealing with the date to do so even expiring” he told Moses Antwi Benefo on Happy FM.
The GFA is however yet to respond to Sulley Muntari’s apology.
