Ghanaian midfielder Michael Essien has posted a classy tweet lauding Chelsea skipper John Terry.
The caption ‘last man standing captain’ is accompanied by a picture of a squad, with all players leaving or retiring except captain Terry.
Among them are Petr Cech, Branislav Ivanovic who left the club in the week and Frank Lampard who announced his retirement on Thursday.
With John Terry, the last standing member of their ever recognisable squad, should the captain decide to retire it would mean the end of an era.
Essien is currently a free agent.
