The Black Stars captain says he has nothing to say about the future of the national team coach.
Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has refused to comment on growing calls for Black Stars coach Avram Grant to quit the job after going five games without a win.
Ghana currently sit third in Group E of the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualification following a home draw with Sudan and a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Egypt.
According to reports, Grant defied Ghana Football Association’s orders not to travel to the United Kingdom a day after the Black Stars’ encounter with the Pharaohs in Alexandria.
“On this issue, I don’t want to talk anything about the technical staff,” Gyan told Goal.
“I will plead that you pardon me on this question because I’m not comfortable with it,” he added.
The 61-year-old Israeli was an immediate success with Ghana when he guided the team to a second-place finish at the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea two months after his appointment.
According to Skysports, the former Chelsea manager was on a shortlist for the United States national team job, alongside Bruce Arena, who eventually got the post.
