Ghana target Milutin Micho Sredejovic is on the wishlist of many giant clubs on the Africa continent with reports emerging this week that three African football clubs, Zamalek (Egypt), Orlando Pirates (South Africa) and Al Hilal (Sudan) are interested in tempting the Cranes coach away, according to reports in Uganda.
Reports in the East African country are that Orlando Pirates were the first team to inquire about the availability of the Serbian who guided the Uganda Cranes to the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017 after 39 years.
Sudanese side Al Hilal joined the fray last week while Zamalek made the inquiry just this week as recorded by Kawowo Sports.
Kawowo further reported thaf Micho confirmed the interests from all the clubs mentioned but insisted he is under contract with the Uganda FA.
“As per contract I have, I can’t apply for the job anywhere,” Micho exclusively told Kawowo Sports.
“I can only be head hunted like it is at present by many interested parties; clubs and national teams,” he added.
“If I apply I would breach contract and I am not doing since I am relaxed and enjoying my time working in Uganda without any desperation,” he noted.
Micho whose love for Africa football and his desire to stay in Africa and help unearth talent as well as making an impact in the local leagues of the countries he’s coached is highly tipped to be head hunted by the Ghana FA with massive calls from pundits that he is carved for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.
The experienced coach was SC Villa and Rwanda national team coach and has previously coached clubs in South Africa and Sudan but never in Egypt.
He joined Uganda Cranes in May 2013, won the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in 2015 and guided the team to two CHAN qualifications and the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.
